We aim to provide a home away from home feeling for our guests, by offering wonderful food, comfortable and modern guest accommodation.

Our rooms have satellite television & hospitality trays. For guests who bring their own wifi-enabled laptops, have access to broadband.

Enjoy our sunny conservatory, while you have your afternoon tea with freshly baked scones, often served with cream and jam as well as assorted pastries!

A large library is at hand to help bring you up to speed on the local culture and history.

We have a traditional cottage garden which guests are welcome to sit in or stroll through as they enjoy the stunning view of the loch. This loch is home to otters, swans and wild brown trout. If your lucky, you could have an intimate encounter with some local stags, who have taken a fancy to an early morning feast at the side of our loch before they head to the hills for a peaceful days rest!

Loch Side cottage is perfectly situated between Lochboisdale and Daliburgh the two main villages in South Uist. We are approximately 30 min from Benbecula Airport.
5 min from Lochboisdale pier, 10 mins from Eriskay pier, 10 mins to the famous Askernish golf course, 10 mins to miles and miles of white sandy beaches, 15 mins or so to a collection of first class fishing lochs.
South Uist is a wonderful place to come to fish, bird watch, play golf, horse ride, walk, paint or just relax in a compelling natural environment.

We offer storage for bicycles and fishing gear.
Advice is available on fishing in the Uists and Benbecula.
Guided walks can be arranged to help you explore interesting local historical sites around the island.
